Compared to a mixed flow dryer
When grain comes down between the Pigeon holes on a mixed flow dryer there is very often a problem with Grain Bridging and therefore getting continuous and excessive heat and then it starts burning – and can cause the dryer to be destroyed or at least lots of damage if fire is not put out right away – on our dryer there is a mechanical driven chain which forces the grain to continuously move and therefore it can’t bridge – making it a lot harder for a fire to start.
Low maintenance on this dryer
Overall maintenance on this dryer is much lower as it is time consuming and costly to be changing small bearings, metering rolls, augers, belts etc the list goes on – when making a large capital investment like a grain Dryer these are points to really consider and put into the equation.
Our dryer is very gentle on the different grains
If you are worried about cracking or damaging expensive beans, or anything else this is the Dryer for you – there are no augers or meters where the products has to be forced through – it is placed gently on a large drying floor and the mechanical chain with the Hot air fans gently push and pull the Product through the process.
Dryer has no belts to wear out
No auger flighting to wear out, no metering rolls to wear out, no metering rolls to plug up, anyone who has a mixed flow Grain dryer will agree that it is a great advantage to not have to deal with all this maintenance and down time when you have so many mechanical things which can and do go wrong from time to time.
No maintenance on bearings
Our Dryer has large Bearings that move very slowly – virtually no maintenance on them – good for many many years of service
Switch grain varieties
If you decide at 10:00 in the morning you want to switch from wheat to canola – you can switch on the fly – no down time or babysitting the machine - This is a powerful tool in today’s fast paced farming – This great feature cannot be overstated - A mixed flow dryer with this capacity could take 3-4 hours.
No screens to clean
It is well known that screen dryers often need to have their screens cleaned in order to be efficient – Cleaning screens is time consuming and adds to your cost of operating your dryer
Clean up made easy
We have a chaff bin where you can in most cases collect most of the chaff.
